dvb-tools software package provides Collection of command line DVB utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dvb-tools
dvb-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dvb-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dvb-tools *
You will get with dvb-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
